Know your ARCO rights

What are ARCO Rights?

1. Right of access:Everyone has the right to obtain information about himself/herself that is processed in any data bank, the way in which his/her data was collected, the reasons for its collection and at whose request the collection was made, as well as the transfers made or what is planned to be done with it.
2. Right of rectification: It is the right that every holder of personal data has, which allows him/her to modify data that turns out to be partially or totally inaccurate, incomplete, erroneous or false. Also known as the right to update and inclusion.
3. Right of cancellation: The holder of the personal data may request the deletion or cancellation of his/her personal data when:
   • Are no longer necessary or relevant for the purpose for which they were collected.
   • The term established for its treatment has expired.
   Please note that the deletion will not proceed when personal data must be kept for strict reasons of applicable laws or relationship between responsible and holder.
4. Right of opposition: Any person has the possibility, in case your personal data is being used for other not allowed reasons, to generate a request to restrict its use, as long as a law does not provide otherwise, taking into account that you must indicate a legitimate and well-founded reason about the personal data you wish to restrict its use.

Procedure

1. Application for ARCO rights, duly completed and signed. You can find the form here.
2. Simple and legible copy of your National Identity Card.
3. Simple and legible copy of a valid Special Power of Attorney not older than 3 months, in the case of representation.
4. Others, if you consider necessary to add more information.

Time of attention

The response time for requests for Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition rights is 10 business days. On the other hand, the Access request has a response time of 20 working days.
